Immittance Audiometry
This procedure is to determine the status of the tympanic membrane and middle ear as well as a muscle reflex that involves the eardrum and middle ear, the inner ear, the auditory nerve, the auditory brainstem pathways and the facial nerve. Ear Moulds & Swimmers Ear Plugs
Your ear size will be taken to design Custom ear plugs to prevent water entering ear canal and design ear plugs for noise protection. Ideal for patients with grommets/ tubes in ear, involved in active water sports, to avoid repeated ear infections and for those working in noisy environment.
Special ear mould or adapters are provided for pilots, singers, in ear monitors for professionals after taking ear impression. Proud to be the First Audiology clinic in Dubai to implement 3D scan and print technology. Ear impression can be send digitally to companies abroad to make in ear monitors if desired.

Hearing aid suitable for a person’s life style & requirement will be prescribed after assessing the severity & configuration of hearing loss. 2 weeks free trial may be offered for patients with specific pattern of hearing loss or hearing aid model as decided by the Audiologist. Hearing aid analyzer is used for insertion gain measurements for optimal fitting of hearing aids. Tests will also be conducted to assess effectiveness of your hearing aid

Tinnitus
Tinnitus is commonly described as a ringing / hissing / roaring / pulsating sound in the ears when there is no actual external sound present. This sound is usually heard only by the effected person or can be heard when another person keeps ear very near to effected person's ear. Tinnitus can be caused by as simple as by accumulation of ear wax inside the external ear canal , any pathologies in the middle or inner ear , problems with hearing nerve or can be a false interpretation by brain for sounds when actually no physical sound is present. So, the first line of treatment starts with proper diagnosis of the condition followed by medical or non-medical management.

Non-medical management includes helping patients identify the cause and possible outcome through counselling and assessment, tinnitus retraining therapy , cognitive behavior therapy, use of sound generators, correction of hearing loss and tinnitus masking devices.
